General medical appointments

undefinedCall 404-894-1420 and speak with medical records for an appointment to see a physician. You may also walk in to Health Services to make an appointment and speak with the medical records staff.
Walk-In Procedures
- you can walk in if you have an
acute Illness or Injury
- Come to Health Services and request a walk-in visit at the Front Desk (medical records) due to illness and fills out necessary paperwork.
- Students will then be evaluated by the nursing staff. Unfortunately, waiting times are not predictable
- Since these are non appointment slots, sicker students will be seen first.
Immunization Procedures:
- Stop at Front Desk and request your chart for an immunization.
- Pay for immunization at the Cashier.
- Go to Room 158 (Blue Hall) to get immunization from an RN.
TB Screening Procedures:
- Stop at Front Desk and request your chart for an immunization.
- Pay for immunization at the Cashier.
- Consult with an RN to be screened for TB
- If needed, a TB skin test will be placed requiring a follow-up visit 48-72 hrs later.
- If skin test is positive then an x-ray is required.
- Education follow-up provided by an RN
Travel Clinic Procedures
- There is a minimum of one month needed prior to travel.
- Make a 30 minute Travel Appointment by phone (404-894-1420) or in person at HS naming definite countries to be visited.
- Bring information of any prior immunizations and yellow card if you have one.
- Meet with physician about travel medications and immunizations.
- Receive immunizations as needed from RN; fees apply.
