Lab Services

Welcome to the Lab and X-ray Department of Health Services! We are here to serve you and to provide you with state of the art lab and x-ray services.

Our laboratory equipment has, in recent years, been converted to the state of art automated machinery, thanks in part to generous donations of $500,000 worth of equipment from Beckman and Couler during the pre-Olympic period.

Roche Cobas Mira Plus CC has the ablilty to perform 21 different tests in 30 minutes. Its computers analyze its own operation in addition to maintaining results and patients' information.

The Coulter MaxM performs a five-part hematology differential on blood specimens and prints out histograms.

With the help of these instruments, students receive the state of the art laboratory work at no cost or a fraction of the cost that they are performed at an outside facility.

Our Services

Laboratory test not routinely performed at our facility, or requiring special circumstances are sent to one of our reference laboratories for more extensive examinations. **

Confidentiality

All results and films are maintained in the strictest confidentiality possible and no results or films are released without the consent of our patients, except where required by law.

**There are costs with the reference laboratory testing but at a much lower rate than outside hospitals or clinics.
