Student Health Insurance
Everyone needs to be covered by health insurance! Even though GT Stamps Health Services will meet most student/spouse health care needs, it does not cover the cost of emergency, specialized care, hospitalization, outpatient diagnostic tests or surgery (any medical care outside of Health Services).
Georgia Board of Regents offers an accident and illness policy to help cover those unexpected and potentially expensive costs. If you are not carried on a family health insurance policy or private policy, a student health insurance policy (coverage for student, spouse and dependents) is available through Georgia Institute of Technology.
The Health Fee is not insurance and does not cover any non-GT medical services. A Health Fee is required for all GT students and spouses of GT students for use of GT Stamps Health Services each semester.
If you have the GT student insurance (Pearce and Pearce) and have
a medical emergency when GT Stamps Health Services is closed, go to the emergency room or a 24-hour immediate care facility.
